I should start by saying that each and every one of the websites and books listed here were entirely suggested by students from my 8-12th grade classes. After explaining that this was for my graduate portfolio, I asked them to think not only about resources that they had used that might be helpful to other middle or high school students but also about fiction and nonfiction books that were meaningful in some way to them. Some of these books were in-class texts and others were books discovered on their own.
They were excited to help, and this is the result! Of course, I will continue adding to this list, hopefully making it a dynamic experience for student visitors. Students, if you have any websites or books that you'd like to add, please let me know!
